Fair Use Policy

What "unlimited" means here

"Unlimited" means there is no hard cap and no meter counting down in your face. Write as much as you want, at the pace a human writer writes. We do not want you rationing your own creative work.

It does not mean industrial-scale automated consumption. AI generation costs us real money per word, so unlimited is sustainable only because normal writers use a normal amount.

The thresholds

On plans marketed as unlimited we apply a fair-use threshold that sits far above heavy human use — deliberately high enough that ordinary writing, including full-length manuscripts and daily output, will never approach it. The exact figure for your plan is shown on the pricing page and in your account.

Founders (lifetime) accounts have a threshold set high enough to be effectively non-binding. You bought unlimited; we are not going to retroactively squeeze you.

What happens if you cross one

In order, and never as a surprise:

• We email you when your usage looks unusual, and explain what we are seeing.
• If it continues, new generations move to the standard queue behind priority traffic. They still run.
• If it continues further and looks automated or resold, we will talk to you about a Studio plan or a custom arrangement.
• Only for clear abuse — scraping, resale, botting, circumventing limits — do we suspend an account, and we contact you before doing it.

What we never do

• Interrupt a generation that has already started. Limits are checked when you press go, never mid-piece.
• Delete your work because of usage.
• Silently downgrade you without an email first.
• Charge overage fees you did not agree to.

Hard-capped plans work differently

Plans with a stated monthly allowance (words, audio minutes, images) are metered, and the number remaining is always visible in your account. When you run out you can buy a top-up pack, upgrade, or wait for the cycle to reset. Nothing you have already written is affected.
