What we collect

We collect three kinds of data:

• Account data — your name, email address, hashed password, and the plan you are on. Name and email are required to create an account.
• Content data — the ideas, notes, audio files, drafts, projects and generated output you create in the studio.
• Usage data — words generated, audio minutes transcribed, images created, feature usage, and standard technical logs such as IP address, browser type and timestamps.

Why we collect it

• To create and secure your account and let you sign in.
• To generate, store and export your work.
• To measure usage against your plan limits and bill you correctly.
• To email you about your account, your usage, and service changes.
• To detect abuse, fraud and security incidents.
• To understand which features are used so we can improve the product.

Who processes your data

We use a small number of vendors to run the service. Each only receives what it needs:

• AI providers — receive the prompts, text and audio you submit in order to generate output. They do not receive your name or email.
• Payment processor (Stripe) — handles all payments. Card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers.
• Cloud storage and hosting — store your files, drafts and account records.
• Email delivery — sends account and notification emails.
• Analytics — aggregated, privacy-respecting product analytics.

Model training

We do not use your content to train our own AI models, and we do not sell your content. We use AI providers on terms that exclude your submissions from training their public models where such terms are available.

How long we keep it

• Your content stays until you delete it, or until you ask us to delete your account.
• Account records are kept while your account is active, then for a short period afterwards for accounting and dispute purposes.
• Technical logs are kept for a limited period and then rotated out.
• Payment records are retained as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent.

To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We will respond within the period the applicable law requires. We will not discriminate against you for making a request.

If you are in California, we do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA.

Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. With your consent we also use analytics cookies to understand product usage. You can accept or decline analytics cookies from the banner, and change your mind at any time.

Security

Passwords are hashed and never stored in readable form. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to production data is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure — if we ever suffer a breach affecting your data, we will notify you promptly.

International transfers

Our vendors may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer safeguards.

Children

Script Junky is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
